Understanding success and performance of GraphQL queries from mobile apps

bitdrift is pleased to announce the addition of GraphQL API call tracking capabilities to its SDK and platform. This enhancement allows developers to gain valuable insights into the performance of GraphQL API calls originating from mobile devices.

Understanding success and performance of GQL queries from mobile apps
At bitdrift, we have a very different take on observability: on-device intelligence. Instead of sending loads of expensive telemetry data only to later sift through it for a few precious insights, we couple a sophisticated device SDK, local storage, and real-time control via our control plane SaaS, in order to dynamically fetch only the data that is needed in order to understand customer behavior and solve problems quickly. We give you 1000x the observability at 0.01x the cost. Monitoring and understanding network behavior and performance is obviously a critical part of providing an excellent customer experience for modern applications. To this end, bitdrift Capture already supports rich dynamic networking insights via SDK integration and our out of the box instant insights. However, this integration was previously limited to vanilla HTTP/REST APIs. Until now, a detailed GraphQL integration has not been available. By integrating with the Bitdrift mobile SDK, developers can now:
  • Monitor the performance of GraphQL API calls from mobile devices, including response times, error rates, and other key metrics specific to mobile users.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues that are specific to mobile devices.
  • Optimize GraphQL API responses for mobile devices, improving performance and reducing data usage for mobile users.
This enhancement will enable developers and platform operators to deliver a superior mobile experience by providing the data needed to identify and address performance issues specific to mobile users. Capture is changing the mobile observability game by adding a control plane and local storage on every mobile device, providing extremely detailed telemetry when you need it, and none when you don’t. If the lack of GraphQL support was keeping you away, now is the time to give us a try! Interested in learning more?
